Who are we?
We are parents, grandparents, community members and educators in Texas who are against the radical sex ed and LGBT agenda being introduced in schools to children as young as 4 through programs such as Welcoming Schools and comprehensive sex ed curricula. We believe that we, as parents, have the right to give our children the right message about sex. The message being taught in schools is setting up our children for disease, abuse, and negative life outcomes, and runs contrary to the moral values held by most Christian and religious families. We will no longer sit silently by as LGBT activists and abortion organizations such as Planned Parenthood attempt to use schools to indoctrinate our children into their ideology. By arming parents with facts and tools, we aim to ensure schools are a safe place for actual learning. Join us in protecting the children of Texas.

What is the sex ed/LGBT agenda?
|
When did this come into schools?
|
The sex ed agenda that has entered our schools is based on falsehoods originally propounded by Alfred Kinsey in the '40s – including that every child has the 'right' to sexual pleasure with anyone he or she consents to sex with. This ideology is not only an attack on children's innocence, but it grooms them for abuse and sets them up for a lifetime of psychological, health, and relational problems. More so, it is indoctrination of the children to support and become involved in lifestyles that run contrary to natural law and which are not conducive to human flourishing. After having overtaken nearly all of society, the sexual revolution is now entering our preschools and kindergartens.
How do I know if this is in my child's school?
Starting in the 2019-2020 school year, radical comprehensive sex education will begin to be taught in AISD elementary schools, starting in kindergarten. Modeled after a program written by LGBT and abortion advocacy organization Advocates for Youth, children will now be taught at the earliest ages about diverse family structures (i.e. same-sex parenting) and will learn to discuss their genitalia openly and in detail with their classmates and teachers. They will discuss 'good touch' and 'bad touch,' which leads up to consent-giving in later years. They will discuss gender non-conformity and how to experiment with it and support it in others. They will learn and discuss the details of alternative sexual preferences. This is a huge departure from the previous practice of teaching puberty in 5th grade, and is in line with the above-mentioned 'agenda,' which believes that children should have as much information about sex as possible, as early as possible.
Welcoming Schools, an "anti-bullying" program written by the Human Rights Campaign, trains teachers how to introduce homosexuality and gender ideology from pre-kindergarten up. It is currently in 24 elementary schools in AISD. The district is now planning a new program called "All Are Welcome." According to planning documents, heavy focus will be placed on gaining acceptance of diverse family structures and gender identities. AISD is considering making the training mandatory. |
Per Texas education code, all public schools must teach abstinence as the core component of sex education. This was the case in Austin until around 2009, when Texas Freedom Network infiltrated the School Health Advisory Council to push the agenda of comprehensive sex education. The newer programs designed by Planned Parenthood and LGBT advocacy organizations teach children sexual experimentation, how to consent to sex (these videos were recommended to middle schoolers), alternative lifestyles, and gender ideology, following the National Sex Education Standards written by SIECUS.
Why should I care?
Medical and psychological experts agree: Early sex and sexual experimentation is dangerous and harmful to children. Sex ed based on risk-reduction (rather than avoidance) increases the risky behaviors it claims to prevent. Gender ideology is harmful to children, who are just developing their identities, as it separates them from biological reality. LGBTQ lifestyles have serious health implications. The results of all of the above include STDs, pregnancy (yes, even in gay-identified youth), abortion, susceptibility to trafficking and abuse, and severe mental health outcomes, including suicide. Comprehensive sexual education has clearly been ineffective, with 80% of the programs studied under the Obama-era Teen Pregnancy Prevention program having no or a negative effect despite hundreds of millions in taxpayer funding. Sexual risk avoidance (abstinence-focused) programs show promising results.
What can I do?
The time is now or never to take a stand. There are many things you can do to protect your children. Our parent action guide will guide you through key steps to take. Our message is this: If you don't talk to your children about sex, the schools will absolutely do so. They will encourage your children to experiment with risky behaviors to see what 'feels right." They are breaking the law in doing this because in Texas, children under 17 cannot legally consent to sexual contact. Take control of the message and tell your school that you do NOT want this subject matter being taught.
